Droplets of Light

February 16th, 2005

I’m pretty chuffed with this set, I think the soft focus, shallow DOF, candle light and tripod have combined to produce some really interesting abstracts and colours. I’ve named this set ‘Droplets of Light’ due to the way the candle light shines through the holes of this ‘object’ producing an almost physical form, if feels as if you can almost touch the light.

This set was inspired by a number of things, mainly though is an ongoing project that Ed and I have set each other. Each week we’re gonna give each other a single word and then interpret that word as and how we want into a series of photos. Mine this week is ‘uniform’ and Ed’s is ’security’. I will add an additional category soon, so that if you want, you can keep track of them all.

So what is this set of? Well, I’ve added 4 photos to the end of this set that I hope will give you that ‘aaaghh….’ feeling of what it is.

Update:
You can track future entries from the Mez & Ed’s Photochallenge category Here.

Update #2;
I’ve decided to start participating in Photo Friday, so this is also my entry for that. Under the theme ‘Luscious’…. due the the luscious colours of these photos.

Keep track of my Photo Friday submissions Here.

    The whole series is for the Photo Friday…. it doesn’t just have to me one image, if can be as many as you like, as long as you only submit one link. Although saying that, I think the last four are the least suited to this weeks theme.

    Have you got a website?

    these are really nice. vibrant, saturated colors, disoriented perspective, and excellent detail and focus. i think with the first four, they’re pretty similar, you kind of desensitize the effect with showing all of them. i would’ve maybe stuck with just one of them. and the last two might have been even more slick with a plain dark background as opposed to such a busy one. just thoughts…these are all amazing.
